A person who wants to come to Canada as a tourist or to visit a family member is required to secure a Temporary Resident Visa, which is commonly called a Visitor Visa or simply a TRV. Every visitor is mandated to comply with the requirements under the Temporary Resident Visa Program, unless you are from a TRV exempt country.
Under the Canadian Visitor Visa, a foreign national may either apply for a single entry visa or for a multiple entry visa. Under the former, the visitor is granted to enter the country one time only, while the latter allows the visa holder to enter and leave Canada’s territory as often as they want, provided that the visitor visa is still valid.
